Getaway Sailing owns all of the sailboats which are used for instruction. Each boat has been purchased for our courses ensuring the best boat will be used for each class.

Getaway Sailing is ideally located. The sailing conditions are excellent in the deep, sheltered waters.

It is an easy sail down the Patapsco River, past Fort McHenry, to the entrance to the Chesapeake Bay and the finest cruising spots on the Bay.

Our offices and boats are located on the Canton waterfront - only minutes from the Inner Harbor and downtown Baltimore.

Weather and Cancellation Policies
Getaway Sailing will conduct classes rain or shine, so please be prepared to sail.

Classes will be rescheduled if conditions include thunder, lightning, or hazardous weather.

If a student cancels the reservation 10 days or more before the starting date of the course, or if GS cancels the course at any time, Getaway will hold the reservation deposit for use with any GS service. If a student cancels the reservation for any reason 9 days or less before the start of the course, the student will forfeit the full reservation deposit.
